What is the Acne Cleanser? 

Powered by 2.5% benzoyl peroxide, hydrating glycerin, and skin-soothing allantoin, this cleanser is designed to shut down persistent pimples, while still being gentle enough for daily use. Unlike other benzoyl peroxide cleansers that use a “more is more” approach with strengths up to 10%, Curology uses a lower percentage of benzoyl peroxide—as a gentler, yet still effective approach to clearing acne.

Although the Acne Cleanser is not customized, it is dermatologist-designed to work with the rest of your Curology routine!

How do I use the Acne Cleanser?

New to Curology? Start by using the Acne Cleanser just 2-3 times a week to allow your skin to adjust to the active ingredients in both your personalized prescription formula and Acne Cleanser. 

For best results, apply the Acne Cleanser both morning and evening. If you have sensitive or dry skin, we recommend using the Acne Cleanser once a day and working your way up! 

Gently massage onto damp skin for up to 30 seconds, avoiding the eye area, then rinse off with water. After cleansing at night, apply your personalized prescription formula, then top off with your moisturizer of choice. 

How does the Acne Cleanser work with my personalized prescription formula?

How much does the Acne Cleanser cost?

You can add the Acne Cleanser (80mL) to your next box for $12. You can purchase the Acne Cleanser exclusively in Target stores and at target.com. Check your local Target for the most up-to-date pricing.

What size does it come in?

 If you add the Acne Cleanser to your bi-monthly shipments, you will receive an 80mL bottle with each shipment. A 150mL bottle will be available exclusively in Target stores and at target.com.

Does Acne Cleanser remove makeup?

Yes, however, we recommend avoiding the eye area to help prevent irritation. Acne Cleanser does not remove waterproof makeup. If you’re wearing makeup, we recommend using a makeup remover (like our MMR) first so that Acne Cleanser doesn’t have to get through layers of makeup to reach the skin and treat acne.
