Your custom Curology formula comes in a special bottle that keeps the prescription-strength ingredients inside fresh and potent for as long as possible. Each bottle is designed with an airless pump delivery system, which vacuums your face cream up to the top to dispense it instead of pumping it through a tube or straw.
This design prevents excess oxygen from coming into contact with the mix, protecting the ingredients inside and keeping contaminants out. No clogs, no fuss, more prescription power!
Our bottles come in two sizes. All members get a smaller sized bottle with their free trial. After the trial period, members who sign up for our large custom bottle subscription plan will receive a larger, two-month bottle every 60 days; members on our small custom bottle subscription plan will receive a smaller, one-month bottle every 30 days.
Members subscribed to our large custom formula can opt into a selection of Curology products which are shipped alongside the custom formula every 60 days. (Note: You’re free to manage your subscription at any time.)
Tips for using our airless pump bottles:
- You might experience a few empty pumps before the product comes out — this is completely normal for airless dispensing systems. (Some bottles may take up to 10-30 pumps to get going.)
- Sometimes the top of the bottle may be bit loose. To help get it pumping we recommend tightening the top of the bottle and then trying the above tip again. This helps ensure a tight seal on the airless pumping mechanism & should help get your bottle working.
- Don’t try to fully open the bottle! This can damage the airless pumping mechanism. However, when you’re almost out of mix, it's okay to unscrew the top and use a Q-tip to get the last drops.
- If you’re not getting any product after 5 pumps (or 10-30 if your bottle has sat unused for a period of time), you should prime the pump. To do this, put the cap on, hold the bottle upside-down, and gently tap the top of the bottle against a flat surface.
Having trouble with your bottle even after priming it? Email our Curology Success team. They’re always happy to help.
If you're having trouble with a bottle you've had for a while, you may simply be running low on your prescription. If you're nearly out, it’s easy to order more!
Keep your bottle away from extreme temperatures!
Your Curology prescription medication doesn’t need to be stored in the dark or in the refrigerator — the bathroom countertop at room temperature is just fine!
Extremely hot temperatures may cause the mix to separate, so avoid leaving the bottle in a very hot area or in strong, direct sunlight (like on the dashboard of your car).
If this does happen, don't worry! We advise turning the bottle upside-down and mixing it by rotating the bottle back and forth 15-20 times. This should take care of the liquid consistency of the medication. Separation doesn't make the formula less effective, so it’s fine to continue using your medication as usual!
On the other hand, extremely cold temperatures may cause a gritty or clumped texture which can make your mix harder to pump or harsh to apply. Don’t leave a package out in cold temperatures or store your medication in a cold car or refrigerator.
Again, a change in texture won’t make the formula less effective, so it’s still safe to use if you so choose. However, if it’s too hard to pump the medication, or you find the texture unappealing, our Success Team can help you with the issue.
