Miscellaneous prescriptions (pills and/or topicals)

Some Curology patients receive oral or topical prescriptions *in addition* to their Curology topical medication. This is determined on a case-by-case basis between you and your Curology dermatology provider. If your provider prescribes this for you, one of our prescription nurses will submit the prescription to your local pharmacy. You can update your local pharmacy at any time on the Contact Info page of your account.

This additional prescription (we prescribe the generic option, if available) is typically covered by most insurance plans at local pharmacies. We suggest emailing our prescription nurses at rxnurse@curology.com to help you find the best option if:

  • Your insurance does not cover the medication
  • You choose not to use your insurance
  • You do not have insurance AND you do NOT want to use InnovaScript as your preferred pharmacy.

If you have any questions about your pharmacy or picking up your prescription, just email our prescription nurses and they will help answer your questions.

After you pick up your oral or topical prescription from the pharmacy, look for the number of refills designated on the bottle/label by your medical provider. If you have refills left, just call the pharmacy to get another month's supply of the pills or topical.

Once there are no more refills left, you will need to complete a follow-up consultation with your Curology provider to receive a prescription refill. This is so your medical provider can assess your progress and note any side effects you may be having.
