What is the Hair FormulaRx?

Hair FormulaRx is a personalized prescription solution formulated by dermatologists to be more effective than over-the-counter treatments for hair growth. Designed to treat multiple root causes of hair thinning, Hair FormulaRx combines 3 clinically proven ingredients to stimulate hair follicles and regrow hair in as little as 3 months.*

Active ingredients have been studied separately; minoxidil has been shown to improve hair growth within three to twelve months of use. Results may vary.

Hair loss is a large category with many different contributing factors. Medical assessment done by our licensed dermatology providers may help diagnose hair loss. Our formulas are designed to treat androgenetic alopecia, however may be used in other types of hair loss.

What are the key ingredients in the Hair FormulaRx?

Active ingredients may include:

• Minoxidil
• Finasteride
• Ketoconazole
• Spironolactone
• Caffeine
• Melatonin

Inactive ingredients:

• Ethyl alcohol, propanediol, purified water. 
• Formulas with minoxidil also contain lactic acid.

How do I use Hair FormulaRx?

Please follow your medical provider’s specific instructions for use. Generally speaking, it is applied daily to a dry scalp. It is meant to be left on for at least 4 hours before washing hair. Allow the solution to completely dry before using other hair products. Shampooing hair is not required prior to use.

Is Hair FormulaRx available in stores?

At this time, Hair FormulaRx is available exclusively to Curology patients on Curology.com.

How do I purchase Hair FormulaRx and how much does it cost? 

You can sign up to receive Hair FormulaRx on curology.com. If right for you, a Licensed Dermatology Provider will prescribe a personalized prescription solution. It costs $89.90 per order. 

Can I purchase Hair FormulaRx without a subscription to Curology?

At this time, you must have a subscription to Curology to purchase Hair FormulaRx. 

What size does it come in? 

The bottle contains 60 mL.

Will this product worsen my hair concerns? 

It’s important to note that temporary shedding of hair may occur within two to six weeks after initiating therapy. This shedding is expected and occurs because the hair transitions from a resting phase to a growth phase. It is thought that the older hairs are shed to make way for new, healthy hairs.

Will Hair Formula Rx cause me to lose more hair if I stop?

It's important to understand that stopping treatment will result in the loss of newly regrown hair within about 3 months, and your hair loss will continue down its natural progression. So, it will essentially be like you never used the product at all and will proceed to your normal hair density baseline, which may be worse than when you started treatment.

Should Hair FormulaRx be stored at a particular temperature or location?

Store in a cool, dry, dark area away from light. Close tightly after each use. Keep out of reach of children.
