Some Curology patients receive oral prescriptions in addition to their topical medication. This is determined on a case-by-case basis between you and your dermatology provider. If your dermatology provider recommends this for you, we can send the prescription to your local pharmacy. You can update your local pharmacy at any time on the Contact Info page of your account.
We prescribe prescription formulas that are covered by most insurance plans and this service has no additional charge. If your insurance doesn’t cover this option, we suggest checking goodrx.com to find the best cash price.
If you have any questions about your pharmacy or picking up your prescription, just email our prescription nurse and she’ll help answer your questions.
After you pick up your pills from the pharmacy, look for the number of refills designated on the bottle by your medical provider. If you have refills left, just call the pharmacy to get another month's supply of the pills.
Once there are no more refills left, you’ll need to complete a follow-up consultation with your Curology provider to receive a prescription refill. This is so your medical provider can assess your progress and note any side effects you may be having.
